A special time for young learners

Children’s Church takes place during our Sunday service and is open to children ages 1-10. This hour helps them understand how faith connects to their everyday lives.

Our goal is to create a safe, nurturing space where children can build a strong spiritual foundation, develop positive values, and grow in confidence, character, and love for God and others.

Our Trusted Teacher Meet Precious

Throughout this time, our Children’s Church Coordinator, Precious Gordon, watches over the children and leads them through their lessons. Precious is a doctoral candidate in Clinical Psychology, with a focus on child and adolescent mental health. Her work centers on supporting underserved communities, particularly Caribbean children and families, through culturally responsive and evidence-based care. She has received extensive clinical training in pediatric psychology, autism services, and school-based interventions, working with children facing a range of developmental, emotional, and medical challenges. She is committed to integrating culture, and mental health to support the holistic development of the next generation.

Children's Church Assistant Meet Fatima

Hi everyone! My name is Fatima Rahman Aguilera. I currently work in care management and as a 988 crisis counselor, where I have the opportunity to support children, youth, and families. I look forward to returning to law school to support immigrant families. I'm excited to join the team and get to know everyone. As a late teen, I used to be a children's teacher assistant and found so much joy creating a safe and fun space for the children during church. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family, traveling, and giving back to my community. Thank you all for such a warm welcome!

Children's Church Assistant Meet Holly

Hi! I’m Holly, I currently live in Brooklyn but am from South Jersey. I grew up going every week to a Baptist church, which I am so grateful for. I spent many years as a church camp counselor, eventually even becoming director more recently! I am excited to be part of the church family here and continue my walk with Christ.
